AUTUMN GREETINGS TO YOU ALL

Autumn Factory Shops

With the cooler weather now fast approaching and with my pantry looking a tad empty, a friend and I decided to visit a few food factory shops in Montague Gardens. This suburb boasts a good range of factory shops so remember to pack a cool bag when heading in their direction. By the end of our morning trip, with my little mini loaded with goods, I began to feel like one of the squirrels in my garden stocking up for winter. We had a fun morning finding some incredible bargains and returned home after our shopping spree feeling very smug about how much we’d saved. Some of the savings we made were largely due to being prepared to buy in bulk but we had no problem finding friends and family willing to share in the deal.

Factory Shop Farewell↓

AU REVOIR

Sadly we have to say goodbye to two of our old favourites, the Easywear Fashion Factory Shop (page 110) who closed their doors at the end of April and Prima Toys. The space they occupied has now been taken over by First Factory Shop (page 227) who will be selling the same merchandise that can be found at their other stores, except on a much larger scale. While stock lasts they will also be offering clothing previously found in the Easywear Fashion Factory Shop. There are lots of bargains to be found and remember to watch out for their great opening specials.  The remaining stock of Prima Toys is also being sold at greatly reduced prices.

NEW SHOPS

Unsgaard & Samson have reopened their factory shop and are now at 21 Induland Crescent, Lansdowne (across the road from where their factory was originally). I popped into their new factory shop recently and was pleasantly surprised by the range on offer and the very reasonable prices. We found some large packs of high quality paper napkins, baking paper, cling and foil wrap, piping bags, paper coasters, flower sleeves, celephane sheets and rolls, make-up remover pads and more. Useful if you are a keen baker are the large packs of inexpensive paper cupcake cases. They also stock a range of cleaning materials and the full range of Tuffy products. Friendly service. Well worth a visit.

Factory Shop Hints & Tips↓

THIS MONTH'S USEFUL TIP

In some shops during the winter months, especially those in industrial areas, the combination of concrete floors and lack of heating can cause your teeth to chatter, so remember to dress warmly.
