SPRING GREETINGS!
Isn't it nice to know that the worst of winter appears to be over and warmer weather is just around the corner?
Before we set out on an exciting factory shopping trip, looking for new summer clothes, there are a few important chores to perform. The first one being to spring clean our cupboards! This is the time to toss out all the garments we haven't worn for years, plus all those we know in our heart of hearts we're not likely to wear again. Charity shops will welcome your donations of clothing items, so be ruthless with your clearing out!
Now with our cupboards clear, and armed with a copy of the latest edition of The A-Z of Factory Shops in the Western Cape, we can head out on a bargain-hunting spree. |

Useful Tips
'DRESS WELL FOR LESS' TIP
A word of warning: we know you are going to be tempted by all the low prices at factory shops, but wardrobe experts always advise that you should make sure that whatever you buy will go with at least three things in your existing wardrobe – that way, you won't waste money on 'one-wear wonders'. |

TIME TO GET IN THE SWIM
I've received a lot of enquiries lately about where to find bathing costumes at factory shops. A number of the shops sell costumes, and we've included a few here to get you started. You'll find their details in the 12th edition of The A-Z of Factory Shops.
Beaches Clothing Factory Shop – Maitland (page 148)
This factory manufactures for leading chain stores and the good quality swimwear they sell is most attractive in both price and style. They have a special offer on at present: buy any two Lulu costumes (bikini or one piece) and get one free.
During the summer months (starting on 6th October), they will also be open on Saturdays between 9.00 and 12.00.
Easywear Fashion Factory Shop - Epping 2 (page 86)
This large, warehouse-style shop sells a vast amount of good quality clothing for the whole family and is also the home of Speedo swimwear. This popular make of swimwear is available for all members of the family and in sizes up to 42/44. They have accessories like goggles and caps as well.
Bee Line Factory Shop - Lansdowne (page 140)
You will find a wonderful range of good quality children's clothing here, along with one and two piece bathing costumes for little girls and swimming briefs for boys. |

HANDY TIP
Remember to take a cool-bag with you whenever you go on a factory shopping trip. Even if you have no intention of buying food, there is always the chance that you will come across a food or chocolate factory shop and will have to forego your purchases. |
