Travelling from Kuils River, continue along Van Riebeeck Road until you see the Blackheath signs. Follow these to the entrance to Blackheath Industria. Drive along Range Road until you reach the shop, which is on the right-hand side. There is plenty of parking inside their grounds. I have been shopping at this outlet for over 30 years and it is still the place I head to when in need of any crockery. On a recent visit I was amused to hear one customer remark to her friend – ‘This place is huge, hey’ and she was right – it is huge! They offer a wide selection of china – from cups and saucers to teapots, dinner plates, casseroles, salad bowls, service bowls, sushi plates, mixing bowls and more – all at extremely reasonable prices. In addition to their popular plain white range, favoured by those in the hospitality industry, they also have an exciting range of everyday crockery in many different colours. I liked their large mixing bowls (the kind that Granny had) as these are perfect for the task of mixing the Christimas pudding! They also have a good selection of plain white fine bone china teapots, cups, saucers etc and a good variety of pretty mugs. At the till you will find a small selection of stainless steel cutlery. I always time my visit to this store to coincide with a pitstop, as there is a small coffee shop inside that offers great coffee and delicious home-made cakes. Highly recommended. Branch in Salt River.
