MOTHERS' DAY NEWSLETTER

Warm winter greetings from a sunny Cape Town!

Somehow with all the recent holidays and power failures we’ve been having, Mothers’ Day seems to have been pushed onto the back burner this year.

In case you weren’t aware of the date, Mothers’ Day is happening this coming Sunday 14 May. If, like many others, you are feeling cash-strapped but still looking for ways to spoil Mom, we’ve put together some suggestions for gifts you can find at local factory shops.

New Shops

I recently happened to come across a new factory shop in Plumstead that offers a range of good quality linen at very affordable prices. Although small the shop houses a wide variety of home textiles to choose from and is definitely worth popping into when you’re in the area. An added bonus is that there is parking right outside.

I heard through the Grapevine...

...that The Coalition Group have opened a new shop at Gateway Business Park in Berkley Road, Maitland where you will find a wide range of items ranging from shipping boxes to ribbons, printed tissue paper and more.

Au revoir

I was saddened to hear that the Bargain Books Factory Shop in Diep River has closed its door as I have spent many happy hours there over the years searching through their many books.

I’ve also heard that several Jordan Shoe stores have closed and that they now only have shops at their factory in Elsies River and their shop in Great Brak River.

In order to keep you up to date with sales and specials at factory shops, we shall no longer be sending out themed newsletters but rather posting all specials to our Facebook page when they take place.

We shall also notify you via email of any new stores that have opened.

THIS MONTH'S USEFUL TIP

In some shops during the winter months, the combination of concrete floors and lack of heating can cause your teeth to chatter, so remember to dress warmly.
