Slivers Biltong & Nuts Factory Shop (Kommetjie)

Wildevoëlvlei Road is off Kommetjie Road. I always enjoy my visit to this popular little shop, as the nuts and dried fruit are attractively set out, making it easy to find what you’re looking for, and the products are sold in firm plastic bags with zip tops , which are great for storage purposes. The variety of nuts (roasted, salted and raw) includes mixed nuts , peanuts, macadamias, pecans,walnuts, cashews, almonds and more. The dried fruit assortment is equally large and varies from mango and pears to raisins and goji berries. For those with a sweet tooth there are packets of sweets (such as jelly beans) along with chocolate coated raisins, caramelized popcorn and more. They are well known for their biltong, and in addition to whole pieces, they have vacuum sealed packets of sliced beef, game and ostrich biltong. The dried sausages are available in plain and spicy beef or game and they also have snapstix and crispy beef chips. If you prefer your biltong diced, after you have chosen the piece you’d like, the friendly assistant will happily cut it for you. Pets haven’t been forgotten either, as dry sausage and chicken treats are to be found here too. They also offer online sales. Recommended.
